Bobbin Frida Kahlo unique chairs traditionally upholstered velvet Rouleaux trim

Description
This pair of totally unique dining chairs are original Victorian pieces, with a beautifully carved top back and bobbins in the cross rail. I have completely stripped them back to their original frames, treated the wood completely with woodworm fluid and wood restorer. Then I spent hours at upholstery classes traditionally reupholstering the ‘Frida Twins’, stretching the webbing, lashing in the new springs, regulating the coir, adding wadding and a cotton cover to make the seats deep and supportive to sit on. I also made the contrasting buttons by hand. The vibrantly coloured seat fabric is Frida Kahlo tapestry fabric (cotton, polyester, acrylic). The panels are covered in ‘shiraz’ Cotswold velvet (polyester). They came from Burford Fabrics. The fabulous trim is V.V. Rouleaux ‘raspberry’ braid (French). All fabrics are recommended to be dry cleaned.
I have waxed the chairs with a clear furniture wax and polished them, so they shine. There is some age-related wear to the legs of one chair - see photos.
Measurements: chair height 89cm; chair depth 43cm; chair width 48cm; seat length 42cm.
The photos can make these fab chairs look a bit short, but the seat is a generous 42 cm from back of the frame to the front rail.
I have priced these chairs to sell as a pair and am open to sensible offers.
