EXTREMELY RARE! Trek 8000 SLR 'Race' Edition Mountain Bike. 95% original. Size M. Very light Alu

This is an extremely rare Trek 8000SLR from 1999/2000.

The 'R' stands for their competition level 'Race' Edition that is lighter, stronger and has a shorter chainstay length for uphill acceleration.

It was £1,150 when bought new in around the year 2000 from a shop in Byker so this is an extremely sought after bike and I don't think Trek made many 'Race' Editions.

It is 95% original having the original Rolf Satellite paired spoke wheelset which are durable and extremely light.
Original Bontranger saddle.
Rock Shox Judy Race 80mm front shocks.
Shimano XT Rear mech.
Shimano LX Levers and front mech (this has been converted to a 1 by 9 and it flies). The Shimano LX front mech is included.
Avid brakes.


Upgrades:
Wellgo Magnesium platform pedals. (I still have the original pedals if you want them)
Crud Catcher installed.
1x9 drivetrain.

Never ridden hard nor ever raced. Purchased for leisure riding that was tarmac and gravel roads. It has been in dry storage for about 6 years or so.

CONDITION:
It is in very good condition considering it's age. Yes, there are some marks as expected but no dings etc.
Recently had the brakes re-wired and I snagged the outer sheath of the rear cable when getting her out of the car.
