Quality Control Inspector - Civils

Quality Inspector (Civils QC) - Contract - Rosyth - SC / SC Eligible

A leading organisation in the defence & security sector is seeking a Quality Inspector to support civils quality control across site and supplier activities within a highly regulated environment.

Location: Rosyth (on-site attendance required 3 days per fortnight for critical meetings)

Contract: Contract

Clearance: SC cleared or SC eligible (UKEO)

Key responsibilities

Deliver quality control inspections in line with specifications, Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

Undertake inspection / witnessing / surveillance across supplier and site activities

Ensure work is completed by SQEP personnel and quality requirements are evidenced with accurate records

Raise and support resolution of NCRs, deviations and concessions with clear technical detail

Verify inspection and test equipment is calibrated and controlled appropriately

Produce inspection reports and support Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) completion

Support the NEC4 Supervisor with objective evidence and technical recommendations

Skills & experience required

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Strong QC/inspection background within civils / construction

Experience in a highly xjnqpsq regulated environment (ideally nuclear, defence, or similar)

Confident using electronic reporting tools and MS Office

Strong communication skills and a firm-but-fair approachDesirable: NEC4 experience (Supervisor-related), plus exposure to specialist inspection activities (e.g. welding, NDT, coatings, electrical).
