Nursery Assistant (Qualified and Non-qualified)

Description

JOB PURPOSE:
1) To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children
placed in the setting;
2) To give support to other personnel within the setting;
3) To implement the daily routine in the base room.

o Liaise with Parents/carers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of
children in conjunction with other staff;

• Looking after from babies from 3 months up to 5 years old

• Ensuring the nursery runs smoothly whilst working as part of a team and on your
own initiative

• Using your excellent communication skills to interact with staff, parents and children
as well as building relationships with our parents and children

• To gain an understanding of the EYFS and to use your knowledge to plan activities
for your key group

• To understand our observation, planning and record-keeping cycle, linking progress
for individual children and enhancing their learning environment

• To keep a proper record of achievement file on key children, for parents/carers;

• Work alongside parents/carers of special needs children to provide full integration in
the setting;

• Support all staff and engage in a good staff team;

• Uphold standards within the setting by adhering to all policies and procedures
