The 388 is a very rare type of scooter now and fills a gap in the market, that didn't exist years ago, but does now!

I'll explain.

Back before everyone had a car, mobility scooters tended to be large, heavy things that people would use to get into town, do their shopping and come home on. Then, as cars became increasingly popular and affordable, scooter designers started making scooters smaller and lighter so they could be picked up and put in the boot of a car. Which was all well and good, but it meant compromises and the big two were range and comfort.

The 388 is a thoroughly modern take on how scooters used to be.

It's not designed to be super light and fit in your car, it's designed to take you a decent distance and not leave you feeling more disabled when you finished than when you started!

I've done long days on small scooters and it's not usually a bundle of fun AND you have the constant worry about running out of power.

With the 388, you have a range of up to 20 miles; you have a big comfortable seat, plus large diameter wheels and tyres. That all adds up to a great ride that smooths out the undulations you invariably get on pavements now.

The 388 is also capable of handling the odd bit of unmade path, or a trip round your local park or perhaps a National Trust Property: Not things that are terribly pleasant or comfortable on your average shopper; (I've tried it!).

In terms of build quality, design and finish, as you would expect from Rascal, the 388 is really well made, looks great and is super reliable.

I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the quality and performance of this superb scooter.
