I have M.E. and I've been a scooter and powerchair user since 2012.

When I give an opinion on a scooter or chair, it's not the opinion of a salesman, it's the opinion of someone who uses and understands what it's like to use mobility scooters and powerchairs.

PRIDE APEX RAPID

Serviced, cleaned, checked and tested. In SUPERB CONDITION just a few scrapes to the wheels but running perfectly. Comes complete with 19 ah batteries, front basket and mains charger.

The Pride range of portable scooters are the best selling small scooters in the UK.

And for good reason. They're great scooters.

I used one of their GoGo models myself for a couple of years and it was terrific.

It was a brilliant little scooter for general use. Easy to dismantle and reassemble; compact for putting in the car; powerful and nippy.

About the only thing you could say against it was that it wasn't super comfortable over rougher terrain or even bumpy pavements; not bad for a 'rigid' scooter, but room for improvement.

The Apex Rapid looks pretty similar to the more basic GoGo models, but is a very different machine.

Firstly, it's a little bigger: not massively, but enough to make it roomier for taller users.

Next is the wheels and tyres; these are larger diameter and also wider.

Which leads me on to ground clearance; the Apex Rapid has better ground clearance.

Finally and probably most importantly, the Apex Rapid has Pride's cleverly designed 'Activ Trac' suspension system.

This is a compact lightweight full suspension system, which adds little to the overall weight, but makes a big difference to the ride quality; taking the edge off bumps and making for a much more relaxing ride.

All of these differences make the Apex Rapid into a much more capable machine and a near perfect 'urban warrior'!

Wherever possible we like to deliver personally, as we can demonstrate to you how your new scooter or powerchair operates, show you its features, answer any questions you may have and make sure you're perfectly happy with your purchase.

Mobility Scooters and Chairs come in a HUGE variety of different types and sizes and people do too, so matching one to the other requires knowledge and experience. I have both.
