PLEASE READ – DIFFERENTIAL NOISE
The vehicle has a differential bearing noise, which is believed to be related to the differential. Please be aware of this before enquiring.
The good news is that replacement options are readily available. A second-hand replacement differential can be purchased from eBay for approximately £170, with fitting estimated at around £200, depending on the garage and the work required. Alternatively, a bearing may be an option, subject to proper diagnosis.
The Shogun remains driveable and has covered approximately 200 miles without any issues during that time. However, the noise does require attention, and buyers are welcome to inspect the vehicle and make their own assessment.
WHY BUY THIS SHOGUN?
These are sought-after, capable 4WD vehicles, and finding a one-owner example with 105,000 miles, full service history and a very good underside is becoming increasingly difficult.
Comparable clean examples can be advertised for £9,000–£10,000+, making this a potentially worthwhile purchase for someone prepared to address the differential issue.
Priced at £4,475 OVNO to reflect the work required.
