Description
Antique solid Mahogany eight day Grandfather timepiece, used daily and is possibly from the Victorian or Edwardian era and is in excellent antique condition. It has a strong positive tick, keeps excellent time and polishes to a fantastic shine and there is no woodworm in the case. Size of timepiece is 79 inches tall, 17 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The face itself is solid brass with brass spandrels to the four corners. It winds with a single key and has a front twist latch on the door. The timepiece itself has small glass side inspection windows both sides of the hood to view the movement working and the hood is removable so it can be transported easily in a reasonable size car, however, may be able to arrange delivery if very local to Southampton. Any inspection is welcome from SO19 2PS area and the reason for sale is a move to a smaller home.
