Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Online Auction - 14th August on Thursday the 14th of August. , Background:The Bedford Debonair, derived from the popular CA platform, was one of the most iconic light commercial vehicles produced in post-war Britain. With its distinctive mid-century styling, compact proportions and versatile layout, it was widely adopted by tradespeople, delivery services and local authorities. Today, the surviving examples are increasingly sought after for promotional conversions, particularly within the food and events industries. Their nostalgic design and unmistakable road presence make them ideal platforms for creative re-use – from mobile bars and coffee vans to artisan retail trucks. The Van:First registered in 1966, this Bedford Debonair presents as a visually striking, professionally converted cocktail truck, and is now offered for recommissioning. The van is understood to have been transformed over a number of years into a vintage-style mobile bar, known as The Cocktail Debonair. The van was last in operation in 2019, at which time it was placed into dry storage. The engine starts and runs, and the vehicle moves under its own power, though it will require a fresh MOT and light mechanical attention before returning to regular use.As part of the conversion, the roof was raised to provide comfortable standing height and additional interior space. The body was finished in a vintage-style paint scheme, ready to receive vinyl signage or bespoke branding. The current setup is ideal for serving cocktails, but the configuration could be easily adapted for alternative uses such as a food truck, coffee van, mobile boutique or event display vehicle.Location: ManchesterSeller: PrivatePhotography: Professional
