Regrettably selling my S 500 Facelift. I’ve owned and cherished this car for nearly 2 years, but a recent engine tap means it’s now time to pass it on as a light project for someone who knows these cars.
​Engine/Power: 4.7L V8 BiTurbo (440bhp) – stock map, never abused
​Sound: Fitted with a custom tuned AMG exhaust for that genuine V8 rumble without being over the top
​History: HPI clear, extensive/nearly full service history (last serviced by myself 2,000 miles ago)

The Good:
​Starts instantly with zero cold-start rattle or smoke.
​Drives perfectly with full power, pulls smooth and strong through all gears.
​Suspension, electronics, and bodywork are spot on — NO dashboard warning lights.
​Stunning color combination and rare factory spec.
​
The Issue:
​A constant tapping noise has recently developed from the engine. It speeds up with revs, though performance is completely unaffected. A mechanic suggested it’s likely tappets/lifters.
​May also benefit from an oil cooler change.

​I’m putting it up as a project for an enthusiast or a mechanic who appreciates what this car is. Put a bit of time/budget into fixing the tap, and you’ll have an incredible 440bhp rare beast good for another 200k miles.
​Priced to sell taking the engine noise into account. Serious buyers only, please.
