Rare modelLow mileageThe 1965 Mercedes-Benz 190c Fintail (W110) is a classic example of Mercedes engineering excellence and understated style. Known for its distinctive rear fins, it combined elegance with practicality, appealing to professionals of its era. Powered by a reliable 1.9 litre inline-four engine, it delivered smooth performance and durability. The 190c featured advanced safety innovations for its time, including a rigid passenger cell and crumple zones. Today, it remains a beloved symbol of mid-century German craftsmanship and timeless automotive design.We are delighted to offer this 1965 first series, Mercedes-Benz 190c Heckflosse, or Fintail as it is commonly known. The prominent white coachwork, with its elegant fins and curvaceous bonnet is in very good order and is complemented by the contrasting red M-B Tex interior, noted for its comfort, space and vertically designed odometer. In the rear, the occupants also benefit from the additional seat belts, an important safety factor today. We are told the car pulls well with gear changes transmitted through the automatic gearbox and the brakes, with discs at the front and drums at the rear, perform well. This right hand drive example was first registered in Copthorne, Sussex on 6th April 1965, to a Mr Herbert Victor White as noted on the original logbook. The accompanying history file includes records of works totalling in the region of £7,500 in 2017, the original green logbook, old MoT test certificates, a V5 registration document, letters of correspondence and a copy of an article featuring this 190c in Classic Mercedes Magazine.These classic Mercedes-Benz motor cars are now being recognised in a market where it is becoming ever more difficult to find good examples of the marque at reasonable prices.
