4 RAF & ACA TIES - Royal Air Force and Air Crew Association

Description

This is four ties (- please click on photos for full view, as the site seems to crop it slightly) from the Armed Forces; there are two ties with the RAF symbol and two ties with the ACA logo.

**** THEY ARE FOR SALE INDIVIDUALLY OR BUY ALL FOUR TIES. ****

- The first RAF tie, created in their colours, from Toye, Kenning and Spencer (Home of Insignia and Regalia, By Appointment to the King), in Terylene.

- The second RAF tie, with a black background to the eagle symbols, is labelled from the 'Royal Air Force Association", by Bover T. (Material unknown, but probably terylene, too.)

- The first ACA tie, has the ACA propeller logo on a navy background, with the Latin inscription, meaning 'Success Through Boldness' or 'Success Through Daring', presented beneath, as historically used by the Air Crew Association. Made in polyester by C H Munday.

- The second ACA tie, has the ACA propeller logo, too, along with the Latin inscription, but also has 'Golfing Society' beneath. This is all presented on a lovely deep green background, and also in polyester by C H Munday.
* NB: THIS tie has a couple of minor 'holes' in the material just below the insignia. I believe this is where a member's badge was attached, and would imagine that these holes/marks would disappear once steamed/washed and ironed - as does happen with badges and brooches on tops. (I specifically took a photo to include this, so please do look at all photos.)

All of these ties are in good condition, except for the afore-mentioned minor 'badge holes' and need some attention such as an iron or steam, as they have all been rolled up in a bag for some time.

These are selling elsewhere for about £7 upwards, but being that they are predominantly for servicemen, I am only offering them for a nominal amount:
