For sale is my MX5 S-Special Edition model with manual gearbox and desirable 1.8ltr engine. This spec came with lots of extra features as standard from factory. The car is absolutely rust free, with solid rear sills and arches. The interior is in nice and clean condition, MOT till May 2026. Genuine low mileage only 72k (or 117k in km). The car has lots of rare parts and desirable upgrades see below.

The underside is completely clean and free of rust or corrosion. The previous owner was a mechanic and fully treated the underside with waxoyl. The bodywork is overall in good condition. Note there is some slight fade on the rear driver side panel plus a few spots of lacquer peel on the side skirts. The car otherwise presents is good condition for its age. Fitted with Bilstein suspension, new anti-roll bar links and has a Torsen Limited Slip differential with reinforced underside bracing. See pictures of sills and underside, showing there is absolutely nothing to hide under the side skirts, all sills and arches are completely solid and rust free.

New racing brake discs and Pagid Racing brake pads fitted. The brake lines were all upgraded to braided racing hoses by previous owner. 15-inch Speedline Rally Alloy wheels (made in Italy), these are high performance wheels that cost £900. The tyres are all matching Toyo Proxy CF2’s with like new tread. Blue colour-coded mohair soft top roof with zip-down plastic window is in great condition. Genuine black leather tonneau cover included. Rear boot lid has the stylish rare Eunos spoiler that really suits this car.

On the interior the car is nice and clean. Nardi black leather steering wheel with a Kode racing carbon gear knob. There is a stainless steel brace behind the seats for additional stability. This car has air-conditioning and power-steering as standard.

Mechanically, the car is fantastic to drive and a joy to drive. Full engine service done (oil, filters, coolant, spark plugs, new HT leads and fuel injectors). Cambelt and water-pump replaced around 6mths ago. Comes with a large folder of receipts and paperwork for historic maintenance. Engine bay in nice clean condition with rare JDM Arc Intake Chamber air (worth around £400). Engine bay has the S-Special engine strut brace. Alternator and power-steering drive belts were also replaced.

On the exterior, the car has Eunos front fog lights (worth £300), a full stainless steel twin-exit exhaust which gives a great sound plus stainless steel manifold in the engine bay. Electric aerial and rare electric wing mirrors both in perfect working order.

Fitted with stylish bodykit, front bumper ‘Destroy or Die’ and side skirts which give the car a nice stance. Car comes with 3 keys, lots of paperwork, receipts and history, including original shipping documents when originally imported to UK. The car sounds amazing to drive and delivers lots of power as you move through the gears.

The V5 logbook is in-hand and shows just 5 former keepers including myself. Overall, this is a really desirable example of a rare MK1 model hard to find in such clean condition. The gearbox feels smooth and the engine drives like a new car. The steering is responsive and precise, which is a notable feature of these cars.
