While driving a knocking noise can be heard, this is the main reason why I am selling the car. I visited two garages and I was told that the problem might be a broken tooth in the gearbox or a bearing, hence the price. On the other hand, gears from 1 to 6, including reverse, change smoothly as they should, I have never had problems with that.

Normally, I wouldn’t sell the car, she’s never let me down, it is spacious, with responsive steering, decent acceleration and quiet enough inside for a car with a diesel engine. Compared to the 2010 MB C180 Kompressor, which I recently bought, the Mazda IS the premium car between the two.

The serpentine belt was replaced at around 75 000 mi, two new front tyres were fitted at around 76 000 mi.

There is a crack on the rear bumper which doesn’t affect the proper functioning of the parking sensors or the rear lights.
