I have developed a wealth of teaching experience over a 30 year career. For the past twenty years I have taught mathematics to a broad range of student abilities at KS3, GCSE and A level at one of the top secondary state schools in the North East.

My philosophy is that students learn best from face to face lessons and that is why I am happy to teach the lesson at your home. I have built a wealth of experience and I am keen to impart this knowledge to your son or daughter so they can achieve their personal best.

My lessons are structured and I will take time to discuss their prior knowledge and which topics they are finding difficult. During the lesson I will go though a series of graded worked examples to identify their current level and to develop their knowledge and understanding. The lesson should improve their confidence and allow them to attempt more challenging questions and enable them to achieve their full potential.

My qualifications are a degree in mathematics, a PhD, qualified teacher and a DBS.

I teach both face to face and online lessons and I look forwarding to helping developing their mathematical knowledge to achieve their academic success.
