Description

A fantastic opportunity awaits as we are currently seeking a Welder to join a leading manufacturing company, represented by Pertemps, based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

As a Welder, you’ll play an integral role within the manufacturing team, producing high-quality components to precise customer specifications. What will I be paid?

Hourly rate: £14.01 – £16.61 per hour (dependent on your experience)

Overtime: Paid at enhanced rates

What will I be doing as a Welder?

Welding components in stainless and mild steel using TIG or gas fusion welding techniques

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols to meet customer requirements

Using jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment to ensure precision and minimise waste

Completing check sheets for traceability in line with company standards

Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work area

Reporting any defects, quality issues, or safety concerns to the Team Leader promptly

What skills and experience do I need?

Experience in TIG or gas fusion welding (up to 2mm thick stainless steel) — however, if you have basic welding skills or relevant workshop experience, training and support can be provided

Ability to work from Standard Operating Procedures and use jigs/fixtures for consistent quality

Awareness of Health & Safety standards and a commitment to working safely

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy

A reliable, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approach

Confidence reading basic engineering drawings and weld symbols (training available for the right person)

Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment is beneficial but not essential

Access to reliable transport to reach the site

Working hours

Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 14:30 (Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates)
