Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our clients daily warehouse operations and ensure the efficient management of inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics processes.

This role is vital in maintaining a streamlined supply chain, optimising warehouse productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics systems. They will play a key role in driving continuous process improvements to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Manage warehouse staff by providing training, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.Oversee the use of forklifts and other equipment to facilitate safe handling of materials within the warehouse.Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain optimal stock accuracy.Implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing safety standards.Prepare reports related to warehouse performance metrics including profit & loss analysis related to warehouse operations.Support shipping & receiving functions by verifying shipments, managing documentation, and coordinating with transportation providers.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.Experience with shipping and receiving procedures and forklift operation certifications.Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control.Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives.Effective communication skills for team leadership and cross–department collaboration.Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving supply chain practices.
