Job Title: Warehouse / Stores Operative

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Location : Segensworth / Southampton

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch break)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse/ Stores Operative to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You'll be responsible for inventory management, order fulfilment, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes

Accurately book goods into stock using inventory software

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with a focus on quality and accuracy

Issue stock, tools, and materials to internal teams as required

Carry out routine stock checks and assist with periodic audits

Maintain accurate records of stock movement, returns, and damaged goods

Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations

Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet trucks, forklifts, and scanners

Support additional tasks including labelling, light assembly, and re-packaging

Liaise with internal departments and logistics providers to ensure timely dispatch of goods Skills & Experience Required:

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment

Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and stock control procedures

Competent in using inventory systems and basic IT tools (Microsoft Office, scanners)

Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail

Physically fit and capable of manual handling

Able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

Good communication skills and a proactive work ethic Desirable Qualifications:

Valid Forklift Truck Licence but this isnt essential Key Attributes:

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

Safety-conscious and methodical in approach

Flexible and adaptable to changing demands

Positive team player with a hands-on, can-do attitude
