Job Title: Stores Technician

Location: Redcar & Cleveland area

Salary: £15.50 per hour

Working Hours: 38 hours per week – Monday to Thursday (8am–4:30pm), Friday (7am–1pm)

Job Description:

We’re looking for a Stores Technician to support the smooth running of the engineering and general stores. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervision Team, the Stores Technician will manage the receipt, storage, and issue of tools, consumables, and equipment — ensuring accurate records and efficient stock control.

Key duties include:

Receiving, inspecting, and recording goods using ERP systems

*

Issuing tooling and consumables to production staff

*

Conducting stock checks, audits, and replenishments

*

Assisting with packaging, dispatch, and logistics

*

Maintaining safe and well-organised stores

Skills & Experience:

*

Experience in engineering, stores, or manufacturing environments

*

Knowledge of tooling and consumables

*

Strong organisational and computer skills

*

Forklift or manual handling training (advantageous)

*

Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious attitude
