SMT Operator – Electronics Manufacturing
Location: Slough
Salary: Up to £25,000 (DOE)
Hours: 37 hrs/week (Mon–Thu 07:30–16:00, Fri 07:30–12:30)
Are you looking to develop your career in electronics manufacturing, or already experienced in SMT production?
An established and growing electronics manufacturer in Windsor is expanding its team and is looking for an SMT Operator to join their modern and high-performing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Operate computer-controlled SMT assembly machinery to produce high-quality PCB assemblies
Monitor processes using inspection equipment to ensure quality standards are met
Read and interpret machine error messages, correcting printing and placement issues
Hand-place SMT components where required, ensuring accuracy and correct polarity
Set up and de-kit SMT machines, feeders, and printing programs
Record run times, fits, and any process deviations
Read and understand diagrams, drawings, and Bills of Materials
Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow all production procedures
Who We’re Looking For
Experienced SMT Operators with knowledge of surface-mount processes
OR
Junior / Trainee candidates eager to start a career in electronics manufacturing (full training provided)
Comfortable working on your feet and handling small components (down to 0201)
