Shop Floor Production Operative

Salary: From 27,600 per annum

Job Type: Full–time, Permanent

Location: In person

We are looking for a Shop Floor Production Operative to join our busy manufacturing team. This is a hands–on role suited to someone with good mechanical aptitude who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.

You will work directly on the production floor, supporting assembly and filling operations, operating machinery and equipment, carrying out quality checks and helping to maintain an efficient workflow across the facility.

Full training will be provided where required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their manufacturing and mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Support day–to–day production and assembly activities Operate automatic filling and production machinery Assist with the setup, adjustment and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment Carry out routine quality checks throughout the production process Identify and report minor mechanical issues and assist with basic troubleshooting Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area Work with colleagues to achieve daily production targets Assist with the movement, handling and storage of materials where required Follow all company health and safety procedures Report hazards, equipment issues or incidents promptly Ensure products are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards Skills & Experience

Previous experience within a factory, manufacturing or production environment preferred Assembly line or shop floor experience advantageous Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic manufacturing processes Practical experience using hand tools and power tools Previous machinery or equipment operation experience beneficial Valid forklift certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification Warehouse experience would be advantageous Strong attention to detail Reliable, punctual and hardworking Positive and proactive approach to work Ability to work effectively as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast–paced production environment Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle heavier materials Benefits
