Description
Sewing Machinist
Our client is a specialist manufacturer of inflatable rescue, recovery and survival equipment. They are looking to hire a Sewing Machinist to join their production team. This role involves operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture and assemble various textiles used in their products.
Key Responsibilities
Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch various textiles.Read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, and work instructions.Measure, cut, and prepare materials for sewing using templates and hand tools.Assemble textile components with precision, ensuring alignment and seam integrity.Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.Maintain sewing equipment and ensure a clean and safe working environment.Collaborate with production and design teams to resolve fabrication challenges.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an industrial sewing machinistSkilled in handling a variety of textiles and understanding their properties.Ability to work to tight tolerances and high–quality standards.Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.Familiarity with health and safety practices in a production environment.
