Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to work for a company in Wantage, Oxfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is ready to take on additional responsibility and develop their leadership skills in a supportive and ambitious business.

Role: Senior Warehouse Operative

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location Wantage, Oxfordshire

Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:30

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Warehouse Operative

Stock Control: Checking, booking in and replenishing stock accurately.

Order Fulfilment: Picking, packing and dispatching orders efficiently and accurately.

Inventory Management: Supporting stock takes and helping maintain excellent stock accuracy.

Team Support: Assisting Warehouse Assistants, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and to agreed timescales.

Compliance: Supporting ISO accreditation activities, Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments.

Administration: Ensuring all warehouse paperwork is completed, filed and archived correctly.

Collaboration: Responding to warehouse requests and queries from departments across the business.

Courier Coordination: Liaising with couriers to ensure items are collected, shipped and tracked promptly.

Leadership: Providing day-to-day support to the Warehouse Manager and deputising when required.About you:

Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is essential.

Team Leadership: Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising colleagues within a warehouse setting.

Communication Skills: Confident communicating with people at all levels of the business.

Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Team Player: Able to work both independently and collaboratively to meet operational targets.

Adaptability: Flexible approach to working hours when business needs require it.

Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn and develop a detailed understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices.

Due to our beautiful rural location, you'll need a full clean driving licence and your own vehicle.
