Senior Quality Assurance Officer

Salary: 30,000– 35,000 per year

Location: Ashford, Kent

Working pattern: Full–time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Our client produces innovative, nutritional products from a purpose–built site in Ashford. With BRCGS and GMP accreditation and a rapidly expanding product portfolio, they're proud to be one of the UK's most trusted names in the industry.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Officer to strengthen the technical team and support the ongoing development of the Quality Management System.

This position is central to ensuring the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance across the manufacturing and packing operations. Acting as the Quality Manager's deputy, you'll take ownership of key QA processes and help drive continuous improvement across the site.

It's an ideal opportunity for someone already working in Quality who's ready to take on more responsibility in a busy and forward–thinking environment.

Duties:

Carrying out internal audits and ensuring procedures meet both internal and external standardsAuthorising finished product releaseConducting routine GMP and hygiene inspections across production areasReviewing and approving documentation related to manufacturing and packagingSupporting the Head of Technical, Quality & Regulatory with the ongoing development of the QMSLeading or supporting customer, certification, and regulatory auditsTaking on additional tasks needed to uphold quality and compliance across the siteWe're looking for:

Experience in a Quality role within food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or a similar factory settingA science–related degreeInternal Auditor training plus HACCP Level 2 (or working toward it)Experience with certification or major retailer audits (highly beneficial)You'll also need:

Excellent attention to detailStrong organisational skills and the ability to stay composed in a busy environmentConfident communication and the ability to influence at all levelsA proactive mindset and enthusiasm for continuous improvementFlexibility and resilience in a fast–paced operationBenefits:
