Are you ready to take on a pivotal role where you'll lead on environmental compliance and permitting for clientele across the waste and recycling sector?

Irwin and Colton have been engaged to recruit a Senior Environmental Consultant for a global leader in the environmental services sector. The organisation operates over 150 sites across the UK and internationally, generating annual revenues in excess of 4 billion.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Environmental Consultant will include:

Providing expert advice to clients on environmental compliance, ensuring alignment with legislation, best practice, and internal management systemsLeading the development, preparation and submission of environmental and producer compliance permit applications, including WEEE and related documentationActing as a key point of contact with regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency, building positive relationships and ensuring effective communication and resolution on technical mattersIdentifying upcoming trends across the space and advising clients to help ensure best practiceThe successful Senior Environmental Consultant will have:

Demonstrable experience in a comparable role, preferably within the waste, recycling or resource use industry.A degree in an environmental discipline or a relevant professional qualification, such as ISEP (IEMA).Practical knowledge of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 and environmental permittingStrong stakeholder engagement skills, including excellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesFor more information on this opportunity or to discuss your next career move, please contact Alex Lee on (phone number removed) or
