A newly created Safety & Quality Manger vacancy working for a global business on their R&D site in Liverpool. The company in question is pioneering the development of innovative, high–quality consumer products through cutting–edge research, advanced testing, and continuous improvement. This role presents a great opportunity to shape the H&S, Environment & Sustainability and Quality standards of their research and development in the UK.

The Safety & Quality will be responsible for:

Developing, implementing, and overseeing quality, health & safety, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards, and group policies.Fostering a positive health and safety culture, conducting inspections and audits, managing risk assessments, and ensuring staff are trained and equipped to follow safety protocols.Guiding and supervising upgrades, new capabilities, and equipment installations at the Liverpool site to meet strategic goals and maintain high standards.Maintaining accreditations, delivering training programs, managing incident reporting, and providing regular performance reports to enhance QHSE outcomes. The Safety & Quality Manager will have:

Proven experience in Health and Safety and Quality, ideally in an R&D EnvironmentNEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma and recognised Quality qualificationAbility to break down complex tasks, deliver effective solutions, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and learning. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.Experience in compliance roles, audits, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards.
