Description
Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm
Key Responsibilities
Reupholster and refurbish a range of commercial furniture and products. Strip existing upholstery and prepare products for refurbishment. Cut, shape and fit foam, wadding, fabrics and other upholstery materials. Measure and cut materials accurately to minimise unnecessary waste. Work from patterns, templates and job instructions where required. Identify and report damaged frames, components or other issues requiring repair. Inspect completed work to ensure the required quality and finish. Complete work within agreed timescales and production requirements. Use tools and equipment correctly and safely. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area. Work positively and collaboratively with other members of the PRC team. Essential Skills & Experience
Previous upholstery or reupholstery experience. Good practical upholstery skills and knowledge of upholstery techniques. Experience working with different fabrics, foams and upholstery materials. Ability to consistently produce a good–quality finish. Good attention to detail and practical problem–solving ability. Ability to work efficiently and follow job instructions. Good with Technology. Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop additional skills. Desirable Skills
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
Commercial or contract furniture. Furniture refurbishment and repair. Furniture frame construction or basic woodwork. Working with different types of commercial seating and furniture. Other practical refurbishment, assembly or product repair skills.
