Quality Manager – 4 days per week – Aerospace

Salary up to 60,000 depending on experience

Southend–on–Sea area

An established aerospace engineering manufacturer in Southend–on–Sea is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to lead their Quality and Inspection function. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident aerospace Quality professional who enjoys autonomy, leadership responsibility and driving standards within a precision manufacturing environment. If you have strong AS9100 knowledge, FAIR experience and have led inspection teams, this role offers real ownership and influence.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management SystemLeading and developing the Inspection teamActing as the main point of contact for all quality mattersCreating and approving FAIR / LAIR documentationOverseeing calibration, testing and qualification processesPlanning and conducting internal and external audits to ISO9100 / AS9100 standardsActing as Approved Signatory for release and inspection processesManaging VisualFAIR software training and complianceDriving continuous improvement initiativesSupporting management review meetings and business objectives

What We're Looking For

Proven aerospace sector experience (essential)Strong working knowledge of ISO 9100 / AS9100First Article Inspection experience (FAIR / LAIR)Experience managing or supervising an inspection/quality teamAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsQualified to conduct internal and external auditsStrong organisational and leadership skills
