Quality Control Technician – Packaging Industry

Are you detail-driven, methodical, and passionate about quality? Our client, a leading business in the packaging sector, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their growing team.

About the Role In this role, you’ll be responsible for carrying out product inspections in line with BS 6001 sampling plans (or applying your transferable skills to learn this approach).

You will ensure products meet stringent quality standards, supporting both internal teams and external partners.

The position requires a balance of office-based work and offsite inspections, where you will represent the company during supplier and customer visits. Full training will be provided before you undertake visits independently.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspections using BS 6001 sampling plans (training will be provided where required).

Work accurately, quickly, and methodically to meet deadlines.

Maintain and update inspection records using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams).

Liaise with suppliers and customers during offsite visits to ensure quality compliance.

Contribute to team objectives while also working independently on inspections. About You

Previous experience with BS 6001 sampling plans, or transferable inspection/quality control experience.

Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

Strong IT skills with confident use of Microsoft Office tools.

Able to work both independently and collaboratively.

A full UK driving licence (essential).
