Description

Hales Group are recruiting for a Production Technician to join our client based in Beccles.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading global manufacturer in a hands–on technical role supporting production operations. Working as part of a skilled production team, you'll be responsible for tooling changeovers, machine preparation and production start–ups, ensuring equipment is set up efficiently to meet quality and production requirements.

Package & Benefits

Location – Beccles, Suffolk

Hours – Monday to Thursday, 07:30 – 17:30 (40 hours per week)

Salary – Competitive starting salary of GBP32,112.95 per annum

Key Responsibilities

Carry out tooling changeovers to meet planned production requirements Remove, install and prepare tooling for production runs Clean machines and prepare equipment for efficient operation Set downstream equipment in line with product specifications Complete material changeovers to meet production requirements Start up and run production equipment where required, ensuring products meet quality standards Verify production output against orders, bills of materials, packing specifications and colour requirements Support tool maintenance activities during quieter production periods Work collaboratively with Engineers and production teams to resolve issues and maximise productivity Follow Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work at all times Contribute to continuous improvement, training and team development initiatives

Requirements

Experience carrying out machine changeovers, tooling changes or production set–ups Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem–solving skills Ability to work safely and follow established procedures Good communication and teamwork skills Flexible approach and willingness to support wider production activities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to work independently and effectively manage workload Commitment to maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards
