Production Operator CNC

Swansea

12.21PH Temp to Perm role

We are looking for an experienced production Operator with some exposure to CNC machines to join a busy organisation based in Swansea.

The role will initially be a Temporary assignment but has the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.

The Role

You will work 08:00AM to 04:30PM Monday to Friday (no shift work required) 40 hour paid week. You will work as part of a small friendly team and be given opportunity to grow and develop within the role.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Assisting the Manufacturing Team in maintaining and improving the 5S of the workshop environmentUse drilling equipment and jigs to manufacture specialist product lines.Operate, when required, Doosan CNC Milling machine under the supervision of manufacturing team leader.Adhere to work procedures and safe working practices.Actively support other team members with material handling and processing.Recognise cosmetic and dimensional non–conformances based on Company specifications and communicate effectively to engineering teamUndertake allocated CNC equipment cleaning (including fluid check etc)Provide a flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving and implementing changes to ensure the business meets its production targetsManage workload effectively and in a timely manner.Preparation and movement of stock material using forklift and safe manual handling techniques.Set up and cut stock material to required length using CNC saw and allocate to designated workstationPreparation, packing and movement of finished component

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and qualities:

Previous production experience essentialExperience in a CNC environment preferredPrevious forklift driving experience preferredGood numeracy skillsStrong attention to detailKeen and willing to learn new tasks and skillsDriven and enthusiastic
