Description

A well-established and respected manufacturer based in Stockport is seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in a dynamic and forward-thinking manufacturing environment, driving performance, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities of a Production Manager:

Lead and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing division.

Optimise production planning to ensure efficient use of machinery and meet stock deadlines.

Drive key performance indicators including quality improvement, waste reduction, productivity, and efficiency.

Oversee training and assessment of operators to ensure proper machine use and safe working practices.

Monitor processing to ensure consistent, repeatable results and escalate variances.

Manage maintenance schedules and ensure machinery operates to specification in collaboration with maintenance teams.

Maintain accurate production data and ensure compliance with internal quality standards.

Collaborate with the Quality Control team to uphold and improve finished product standards.

Ensure safe chemical handling practices and up-to-date MSDS documentation in liaison with the Laboratory Manager.

Contribute to projects involving environmental impact and health & safety improvements.

Qualifications / Experience required for this Production Manager:

Proven experience in production management.

Background in lean manufacturing and experience managing change.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within manufacturing.

Salary & Benefits:

A salary in the region of £40,000

Monday to Friday, full-time (40 hours per week).
