Job Opportunity: Production Assembler

Location: Barry

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00

Friday: 08:30 - 13:30

37 Hours p/Week - Overtime as requiredPay:

£12.33 p/hour (Standard)

£18.50 p/hour (Overtime)A great manufacturing client of Manpower Group is seeking dedicated full-time Production Assemblers to join our team for an initial 90-day assignment (with good chances of extension or permanent employment thereafter).

This role involves the assembly of breath alcohol detection devices and includes tasks such as through-hole soldering, creating small pre-assemblies, and adding customer-specific software and configurations. The role may also include supporting assembly tasks in the Fuel Cell Laboratory. Individuals with a strong interest in electronics are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble breath alcohol detection devices with precision.

Perform through-hole and SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) soldering.

Utilise and maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Record manufacturing data, including quantities and time entries, via the Epicor ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

Support stock management and handle inventory transactions.

Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and quality standards.Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Background in manufacturing, preferably in electronics.

Technical Proficiency:

Hands-on skills with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret SOPs and BOMs (Bill of Materials).

Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) /ERP systems and inventory management.

Soldering experience (Required).

Software Skills: Competent in PC operations, Excel, Microsoft word.

Attributes:

Strong hand-eye coordination.

Good vision as the assembly process contains very small parts.

Excellent time management and teamwork abilities.
