Department: Production Finishing

Reporting to: Night Operations Manager Location: Dagenham

Shift Pattern: 3–on, 2–off / 2–on, 3–off / 2–on, 2–off / 3–on, 3–off

Hours: 42 hours per week (18:00pm 06:00am)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Print Finisher to join our busy production environment on the night shift. You will be responsible for operating a wide range of finishing equipment to produce high–quality printed materials. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and hands–on technical knowledge of finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a variety of finishing machinery including: Cutting & Trimming Guillotines (Polar, Wohlenberg, or equivalent). Folding Stahlfolders, MBO or similar. Binding Perfect binding, PUR binding, Saddle–stitching Laminating & Coating Encapsulation and digital lamination machines. Die–cutting, Creasing & Perforating Cylinders or platen machines. Check work against job specifications and conduct quality checks throughout the finishing process. Ensure jobs are completed on time, in full, and ready for dispatch. Assist with machine set–up, calibration, and routine maintenance. Minimise waste by ensuring efficient use of materials and accurate setup. Follow production schedules and prioritise workloads effectively. Adhere to all health and safety standards, keeping the workspace safe and organised. Support colleagues across the department with cross–training and flexible working as required. Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Print Finisher in a high–volume print production environment. Hands–on knowledge of finishing processes and machinery. Strong eye for detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues. Organised and able to manage workloads under pressure.
