Structural Steelwork Paint Sprayer

Location: Droitwich

Pay Rate: GBP13.50 per hour (DOE) + overtime up to GBP18.75/hr

Hours: 40 hours per week + regular overtime (early/late starts)

Contract: Full–time, Permanent

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

A well–established structural steel fabrication company is looking to recruit an experienced Paint Sprayer to join its production team. You will be responsible for finishing fabricated steelwork components to a high standard using in–house spray–painting and shot–blasting facilities. This is a hands–on position working in a modern facility equipped with advanced fabrication machinery and overhead cranes.

Key Responsibilities

Apply protective and decorative coatings to structural steelwork according to job specifications

Safely operate 5–tonne overhead cranes to move steel items for coating and dispatch

Prepare steel surfaces using shot–blasting, masking, and degreasing techniques

Conduct quality checks to ensure full coverage, correct finish, and specification compliance

Assist with early morning and late afternoon loading of articulated lorries when required

Maintain a clean, safe, and well–organised work environment

Adhere to all company health & safety and quality procedures

What We're Looking For

Prior experience in steelwork or industrial paint spraying

Confident and competent in using overhead cranes (5–tonne)

Physically fit and comfortable handling large steel structures

Flexible with working hours and open to overtime, including early or late shifts

Detail–oriented and committed to safe working practices

Pay & Benefits

Standard working week: 40 hours

Overtime paid at flat rate up to 45 hours, then time and a half

Pay review after 3–month probation period

Overtime potential: up to ?18.75 per hour

Permanent, full–time role with long–term stability
