We re working with a leading UK manufacturer of carton–based food packaging used by some of the nation s most recognisable retail and foodservice brands. They re known for their quality, service, and sustainability specialising in ovenable, microwaveable and grease–resistant board packaging with a strong commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.

With steady growth across two UK sites, the business is now looking for a Production Manager to oversee day–to–day operations at their Croydon facility.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step up and take more ownership, particularly if you're coming from food, FMCG, or other fast–moving production environments.

The Role

Working closely with senior leadership, you ll be responsible for managing production and ensuring the smooth delivery of customer orders through effective planning, people management and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee daily production operations at the Croydon siteSupport performance improvements across safety, quality, output and efficiencyLead and coach a team of production and engineering staffEnsure compliance with health & safety and food packaging standardsCollaborate with planning, quality and commercial teams to meet business goalsIdentify and implement process improvements using Lean or similar methodologiesWhat We re Looking For

Experience in a manufacturing leadership role within packaging, food production or similar FMCG environmentsStrong people management skills and a hands–on leadership styleAn understanding of folding carton or print–based production would be ideal but not essentialFamiliarity with continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma etc.)ERP/MRP system experienceA proactive mindset and the confidence to take ownership and drive changeWhat s on Offer
