Your new company:

Based near Colchester , you will be joining a large manufacturing business with multiple manufacturing sites across Europe and the US specialising in the manufacture of alternative synthetic paper and film products.

Due to a gap in the team, the business is now seeking an experienced Manufacturing & Engineering Operations manager to join their senior leadership team. This hire will be responsible for the overall day–day manufacturing operations, whilst working with the engineering team to help improve safety, quality and running efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Plan, lead and manage day–day manufacturing operations, meeting production, quality, engineering & safety targets.Collaborate with multiple areas of the business, including quality, supply chain, HSE and more to roadmap improvement plans aligned to business objectives.Create and monitor key performance indicators – working on continuous improvement methods.Manage and mentor manufacturing, engineering and supporting technical staffWork with finance teams to develop and manage department budgets working towards capital expenditure plans.Drive a continuous mindset culture throughout the business

Skills & Experience required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or similar industryMultiple years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering management and operations role(s)Proven experience leading a production or engineering team with multiple direct reportsStrong leadership, communication and problem–solving skillsAbility to manage tasks and duties effectively.Lean Six Sigma certification would be highly desirable.
