Description

Are you a skilled maintenance engineer looking for a role where you can make a real impact?

We're recruiting for a Multi–Skilled Technician to join a leading manufacturing and processing operation in Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly automated production environment, supporting critical plant equipment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to major engineering projects.

This role would suit an experienced maintenance professional with a strong electrical background who enjoys fault finding, problem–solving, and working as part of a high–performing engineering team.

The Role

As a Multi–Skilled Technician, you'll be responsible for delivering planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities across a complex processing facility. You'll play a key role in maximising equipment availability, improving plant performance, and ensuring all engineering activities meet required safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities across site assets. Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime. Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives. Ensure maintenance records and asset information are accurately maintained within the CMMS system. Assist with delivery of capital projects and equipment upgrades. Work closely with contractors and external suppliers when required. Support plant optimisation and preventative maintenance improvement activities. Participate in breakdown response and first–line engineering support. Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and housekeeping. Contribute to business continuity planning and critical asset management. What We're Looking For

Essential

Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship. Strong background in either Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance. Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, process, chemical, food & drink, pharmaceutical, or similar industrial environments. Excellent fault–finding and diagnostic skills. Strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles. Experience working within a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS). Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement. Desirable

Experience with Siemens PLCs and fault–finding. Knowledge of process plant, fluid handling, or distillation equipment. Experience with VSDs, instrumentation, and control systems. CompEx qualification. Knowledge of hazardous area environments (ATEX). Mechanical maintenance experience including pumps, pipework, and fluid transfer systems. What's on Offer?

Opportunity to work for a highly respected manufacturing business. Long–term career development and training opportunities. Exposure to significant engineering and improvement projects. Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture. Competitive salary and benefits package. If you're a proactive engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving equipment reliability, and making a genuine contribution to site performance, we'd love to hear from you.
