Mechanical Fitter

Location: Coventry, Ansty Park

Hours: Two Shifts Available

Mon – Thurs: (06:00 – 14:00) Fri (06:00 – 12:45)

Mon – Thurs: (14:00 – 22:15) Fri (12:45 – 18:15)

Salary: Up to 41,000

The Role:

Join a world–class aerospace manufacturing team!

We are looking for a skilled Fitter to join our Assembly & Test team within the Thermal Value Stream. This is a hands–on, precision–focused role where you will assemble, test and inspect high–quality aerospace components that play a critical part in aircraft performance and reliability.

Responsibilities of the role:

Assemble aerospace components following detailed work instructions and engineering drawingsUse manual and powered tools to dress and prepare componentsCarry out Product Acceptance Testing (PAT) to ensure components meet specificationUse inspection equipment (verniers, micrometers, CMM, shadowgraph etc.) to verify product conformityUnderstand key component features and select the correct tools for each taskMaintain excellent standards of safety, quality and 5S/housekeepingSupport process improvements, basic problem–solving solving and team–based activities

Skills required:

Mechanical or engineering assembly experience (aerospace experience desirable)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and PAT requirementsSkilled in using inspection and measurement toolsBasic computer skills (SAP/Excel/Word experience is ideal)Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow detailed instructions
