Assembler / Fitter - Electrical Control Boxes
Location: Birmingham (B18)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Pay: Competitive - based on experience

Major Recruitment is currently recruiting for a skilled Assembler / Fitter to join a leading manufacturer based in Birmingham (B18). This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with strong mechanical and basic electrical assembly experience, particularly with control boxes used in:
Turnstiles
Traffic barriers
Security gates and fencing systems
Role Responsibilities:
Assembly and fitting of electrical control boxes for security systems
Reading and interpreting basic electrical and mechanical drawings
Using hand-held tools such as screwdrivers, drills, crimpers, wire strippers, etc.
Wiring and connecting components (switches, relays, connectors, terminals)
Testing and inspecting completed assemblies for functionality and quality
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in mechanical/electrical assembly or fitting
Confidence working with hand and power tools
Ability to follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams
A proactive and reliable approach to work
Good communication and team-working skills
Desirable:
Experience in assembling control panels or similar low-voltage electrical systems
Understanding of basic electrical safety and wiring practices
Background in manufacturing for the security or automation sectorWhat's in it for you?
