Extrusion Operative (Machine Operating Experience Required)

Looking for a role that gives you four days off every week?

We're seeking a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on a permanent day shift pattern working three 12-hour shifts (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). The Role

As an Extrusion Operative, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion machinery used in the production of high-quality window profiles. You'll play a vital role in ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Shift Pattern

Day Shift: Thursday to Saturday, 7:00am to 7:00pm.

Training Period: For the first up to five months, you will complete your training on a Tuesday to Thursday day shift, working 7:00am to 7:00pm. Once training is complete, you will transition to your standard shift pattern of Thursday to Saturday, 7:00am to 7:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion production lines

Carry out machine setting and machine minding duties

Perform regular quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications

Complete production records and paperwork accurately

Pack finished products in line with company standards

Follow production schedules and achieve output targets

Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies

Report any machine faults or production issues promptly

What We're Looking For

Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment

Extrusion experience is highly desirable

Experience in machine setting, machine minding, or production operations

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexible, dependable, and proactive approach to work

Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
