Job Title: Laser Setter / Operator

Location: Coventry

Hours: 39 hours per week

* Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30

* Friday: 07:30 - 12:30

Salary: ?14.50 to ?15.00 per hour

Overview:

A manufacturing business based in Coventry is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Laser Setter / Operator to join its production team. This role involves setting and operating laser cutting machinery, following work instructions closely, and supporting CNC-based production processes. The position is well suited to someone with laser or CNC exposure who is looking for a stable, day-shift role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set and operate laser cutting machines in line with job instructions and specifications.

* Follow established procedures to ensure accurate and consistent output.

* Carry out basic CNC-related tasks using the same operating software.

* Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.

* Monitor machine performance and report any faults or issues.

* Carry out basic checks to ensure parts meet quality standards.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with Health & Safety requirements.

Experience & Skills Required:

* Previous experience setting or operating laser cutting machinery preferred.

* Some exposure to CNC machinery or software advantageous.

* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

* Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
