Press Brake and Laser Cutting

Location: Nottingham

Commutable from: Derby, Long Eaton, Ilkeston, Mansfield, Newark-on-Trent, Hucknall, West Bridgford

Salary: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Weekly Rotating Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00

About the Company

Our client is a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing business specialising in high-quality laser cutting solutions for a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Laser Operator to join their busy production team.

The Role

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Laser Operator to join a modern manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality precision components while maintaining production efficiency, quality standards and safe working practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Set up, operate and monitor press brake or laser cutting machines in line with production schedules.

Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and production documentation.

Carry out machine set-ups, tooling changes and machine adjustments where required.

Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process using measuring equipment.

Ensure all products meet customer and company quality standards.

Monitor machine performance and report any issues affecting production.

Complete production records and relevant paperwork accurately.

Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic preventative maintenance.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience operating press brake or laser cutting machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience carrying out machine set-ups and tooling changes.

Experience using measuring equipment to carry out quality inspections.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Good organisational skills and the ability to work to production deadlines.

A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
