Lamination / Coldseal Operator
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9RZ
Salary: From GBP25,636.96 – GBP36,209.12 per annum, DOE + Excellent Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Shifts: Shift work to support a 24/7 operation

We are now recruiting for an Operator to run our lamination / coldseal machine, delivering right first–time quality together with compliance to quality SOP s.
You will also ensure adherence to best practice with further compliance to company health and safety procedures
As our Lamination / Coldseal Operator you will be responsible for:
Main Responsibilities
Operating in line with site health and safety, environmental and quality standards. Working in line with site standards for BRC, ISO & A2 environmental Operating processes in line with lean manufacturing techniques including SMED and the 5S principles Ensuring Customer expectations are achieved by following the product specification requirements Identifying and reporting non conformities, correcting deficiencies together with the Shift Manager and QA. Monitoring machinery output to exceed and deliver targets Working with colleagues in Service regarding completed reels ready for authorisation and despatch Maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Completing shift handovers to ensure a smooth transition and continuous production. Completing all production reports at the end of each production run Liaising with the Production Planner as required on completion of production run. Informing the onsite Maintenance Engineer of any machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently. In order to be successful in this role you must have:
Previous experience in either label or packaging manufacturing an advantage, Background in manufacturing, with experience of operating machinery. Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement techniques an advantage Additional qualifications e.g. fire safety, first aid etc. an advantage but not essential Good level of numeracy & literacy, preferably GCSE level in English and Maths Basic computer skills Considerable exposure to quality, health, safety and environmental standards and practices within a production setting Fluent English ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and understand both written and verbal work instructions Saica is an Equal Opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
