Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Industrial Chef, to join an established FMCG business located near Leicester.

As Industrial Chef, you will be responsible for managing the Prep team, batch cooking and stringent ingredient tracking and processing for our high volume cook room in our busy manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities Industrial Chef

* Working with the Operational Team to deliver our cooking plans as part of our main production.

* Lead and guide the cook room team to ensure recipes and processes are followed accurately.

* Effectively and transact all raw materials used.

* Sign off and validate all pick sheets – transacting accordingly.

* Ensure recipe compliance on medium and large scale productions optimising ingredients and procedures to minimise production inaccuracies.

* Work closely with production management across all capabilities – taking new products into production as well as assist on existing products – reviewing processes and assist in updating process and or problem solving.

* Work closely with procurement, planning and technical teams

* Monitor process to ensure compliance with all health and regulation requirements.

* Managing and updating all knowledge management systems in line with quality standards and protocols

* Implement coaching and improvement programs as needed

Person Specification Industrial Chef

* Experience as a chef working in a food manufacturing environment.

* The ability to work under pressure

* Must be a passionate foodie with excellent food knowledge.

* Must have an eye for detail and organisational skills.

* Can motivate and encourage staff, ensuring product and process compliance with a degree of computer literacy i.e. ERP systems and factory processes

* Good knowledge of cuisines from around the world

* Good all-round knowledge of various cooking techniques and vessels specific to our processes – sauces, mixes, finger food, handheld street food snacks etc.

What in for you as a Industrial Chef

* £15.00 per hour to £16.00 per hour

* Working hours Sunday – Thursday, rotational 6am-2pm/2pm -10am (40 Hour week). xjnqpsq Some flexibility will be required.
