Description

Your new company

Hays are working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing organisation based in the Lisburn area to recruit an Inbound Logistics Co-ordinator to join their supply chain team. This is a newly created position, brought in-house to enhance operational control and communication across inbound logistics.

Your new role

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end inbound logistics function, ensuring the smooth and cost-effective movement of goods into the business. This will involve coordinating shipments across multiple sites, working closely with freight forwarders and shipping partners, and monitoring deliveries from origin through to arrival.

You will oversee container movements, manage shipment tracking and reporting, and proactively address any delays, particularly across international routes including Asia and Europe. The role will also involve handling customs processes such as TSS declarations and supporting duty recovery where applicable.

In addition, you will liaise with internal teams including procurement, production, and warehousing to ensure alignment on delivery schedules, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across logistics performance.

What you'll need to succeed

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a logistics or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of inbound freight, including working with shipping lines and freight forwarders

Experience managing imports, ideally across international markets such as Asia

Practical knowledge of customs procedures, including TSS or similar clearance processes

Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems

Experience supporting audits and maintaining compliant documentation

What you'll get in return

32 days annual leave, with additional entitlement linked to service

Early finish on a Friday

Health-related benefits and wellbeing support

Life assurance

Staff discount scheme on company products

Employee referral scheme

On-site parking

Opportunity for hybrid working following initial training

Ongoing development opportunities, including professional qualifications
