Here at Wisbech, we have a team of 525 colleagues and manufacture premium chilled ready to cook meals for major retailers such as Sainsbury's, Aldi and Co–op.

What you'll be doing

As a Hygiene Operative you be required to undertake all aspects of cleaning all food manufacturing areas, equipment and machinery to meet food hygiene standards. You will be carrying out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to make sure the area is maintained to the agreed standards. It'll be part of your job to ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift. Some duties include:

Carry out Daily Cleaning of all areas of the factory as part of a teamTo schedule Deep cleaning of large machineryWearing full PPE such as: Chemical suit, Visor, Wellingtons, Gloves and Safety gogglesWorking in Chilled and Hot environmentsFilling out Paperwork to document the cleansPromote good health and safety culture within the work placeUse of/ and storage of chemicalsReporting of any damaged equipment or machinery.What we're looking for

Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

Experience working in a Hygiene based role is essentialHealth & Safety Level 2Food Safety Level 2COSHH AwarenessMust be willing to learn and train in different areas on siteMust be able to follow written instructionsMust have a good eye for detail to achieve the inspection and cleanliness standards requiredMust be able to work on own for periods of timeThese skills are desirable and not essential during the recruitment process. Full training will be provided if successful in the role.
