Location: Two sites in the Chesterfield/Derbyshire area

Salary: GBP30,000 GBP35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full–time, Permanent

We re working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a Health & Safety Coordinator to support two sites in the Chesterfield/Derbyshire area.

The Role Health & Safety Coordinator

Reporting to the Group HSE Manager, you ll be responsible for supporting and driving safety standards across both sites. You ll help maintain compliance with legislation, assist in developing robust H&S processes and play an active role in building a positive safety culture throughout the business.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the Group HSE Manager with all on–site health and safety activities

Working closely with Site Managers and Operations teams to achieve safety goals

Monitoring and reporting on key H&S performance indicators

Assisting in maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems

Ensuring compliance with all H&S legislation and internal policies

Conducting risk assessments and recommending improvements

Participating in regular site safety meetings and initiatives

The Candidate Health & Safety Coordinator

You ll be someone who enjoys being hands–on in a manufacturing environment, with strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels.

Essential:

NEBOSH National General Certificate

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Practical experience with risk assessments and audits

Desirable:

NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards)

IOSH or Environmental qualifications

National Compliance and Risk qualifications
