Flexographic Printing Supervisor

Description

The Role

Essential to the smooth operation of flexographic presses by assisting the operator with setup, material handeling and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, good attention to detail, experience within the flexo print industry with good people supervisory skills. You will be working within a fast paced, and on demand print environment.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Production Manager

Oversee the day to day operations of the flexographic printing team

Manage and lead a team of printers

Monitor production shedules to ensure timely completion of orders

Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the printing process

Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during printing

Train new employees on printing techniques and equipment operation

Implement and enforce safety procedures in the printing department

Communicate with other departments to coordinate printing shedules and requirements

You Must Have

A willingness to train and be part of a friendly dedicated team

Flexible and the ability to work well in a high pressure environment

Excellent attention to detail

Strong communication and supervisory skills, be able to work well with others

Demonstrate authority and good people skills

Problem solving ability

Ability to deal with xjnqpsq conflict in the work place

Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance and procedure manuals

Experience Preferred - Training offered

5+ years experience within the Flexographic printing/operations industry

Min 2 years experience as a supervisor

Understand planning and sheduling

Knowledge of printing inks and substrates

Worked in print, packaging and manufacturing environment
