Description

The Finance Assistant will support the Accounting & Finance department in maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions efficiently. This temporary role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and an interest in the industrial/manufacturing sector.

Client Details

This company operates within the industrial/manufacturing sector, offering essential products and services to its clients.

Hours of work - Monday to Thursday 8.15am - 4.30pm, 8.15am - 3.15pm on a Friday

Description

Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and on time.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as required.

Prepare the payroll for the bureau.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review.

Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

Respond to internal and external financial queries professionally.

Contribute to process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes including payroll.

Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

An ability to work accurately and maintain attention to detail.

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.

Previous experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing sector (preferred but not required).Job Offer

An hourly rate of approximately £13.50 to £15.00, depending on experience.

Exposure to the industrial/manufacturing sector in Coatbridge.
